Canon Middle East, the world’s leading innovator of imaging products and IT solutions, has officially launched its strongest Office Personal Products (OPP) line up with the addition of eleven new products in its Inkjet Pixma printers range, six Laser i-SENSYS printers along with four new projectors and calculators.
The OPP launches, announced at a recent channel partner seminar, have contributed to Canon’s positive outlook for the OPP segment in 2010.
“Canon has a very strong printer line up in terms of technology, performance and range and is one of the key players in the printing industry.
The laser multifunction printer (MFP) colour category is a fiercely competitive segment and one which we are currently witnessing significant growth and demand from respective end user segments. Taking this into account Canon has launched four cutting edge colour MFPs in this segment,” said Bittu Mattam, Product Manager, Canon Middle East.
“With the new range of i-Sensys laser printers, SMEs and SOHO customers can maximise efficiency and take control of costs. The i-Sensys range improves efficiency through direct savings such as reduced running costs, lower power consumption and cost management,” added Mattam.
The demand for cost effective all in one office inkjet printers have significantly increased within the segment of home office users. To cater to this growing market, Canon Middle East has launched its all in one Inkjet multi function model such as Pixma MX 320, to the region.
The new inkjet models combine new elegant designs along with cutting edge printing technology to meet basic and advanced printing needs of the business and home segment users. Canon will also be launching its flagship Wi Fi model, the MP 560 to Oman during the first half of 2010.
To reiterate Canon’s commitment to the environment, Canon also launched its ‘green’ calculator range including the X Mark 1 and HS – 121 TGA. “The X Mark 1 is the next generation of design-led calculators that reaffirms our commitment to producing innovative products that are both stylish and eco conscious.
Our recycled calculators take our environmental commitment further than any other product, using recycled Canon materials and operating on solar power alone. The new X Mark 1 will help corporations and individuals reduce their environmental footprint,” said Sam Oommen, Product Manager, Canon Middle East.
Canon’s unique HS-121TGA, next generation calculator range that has been designed with both people and the environment in mind. The introduction of an anti-bacterial agent on the HS-121TGA prevents the passage of germs and bacteria most commonly transferred via people’s hands.
Canon Middle East has expanded into the niche market of medical projectors with the launch of the XEED WUX10 Mark II Medical. The model features the Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) standard providing unrivalled medical imaging quality for the crystal clear display of digital X-Ray images in a variety of different rooms, with variable light conditions such as conference halls, medical schools and hospital meeting rooms.
The OPP seminar in Oman is the latest in a series of Channel events organised by Canon Middle East and provides Tier Two partners with insight into the new Canon line up and forthcoming strategies relating to the new products, development of Channels and marketing initiatives.
The seminar was designed to further improve Canon’s relationship with Genetco, its channel partner in Oman by providing a greater understanding of the OPP product range.
