Canon Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd has launched two monochrome laser printers, namely the LBP 6300dn and the LBP 6650dn for home users and businesses respectively.
Both models are designed to be energy efficient — the 6300dn consumes 9-watt and the 6650dn uses only 11-watt in standby mode.
The 6300dn has a print resolution of up to 2,400 x 600dpi and prints at 30ppm (pages per minute) for A4documents.
This model has 16MB of memory onboard and uses Canon Advanced Printing Technology 3.1 with High Smart Compression Architecture which uses compression to speed up print jobs.
The 6650dn, on the other hand, prints at 33ppm for A4 documents at 2,400 x 600dpi. This model has 64MB memory onboard which can be expanded up to 320MB.
The 6650dn uses Ultra Fast Rendering Technology for faster document processing. Other features of the 6650dn include support for PostScript Level 3 and PCL5e languages.
Both models can be fitted with an optional 500-sheet paper feeder cassette for high volume printing.
The other features found in these models include an Ethernet for for sharing the printer across the network and and auto duplex printing.
