A new, patented printhead design enables the No.78 cartridge to deliver finer drops, at a higher density,
faster than any comparable system to give the best print speed in any mode. The HP No.78 features
HP PhotoREt III Precision Technology capable of placing up to 29 ink drops per dot for totally smooth colour
transitions and realistic skin tones. The ink is used efficiently due to the small drop size so less ink is needed.
choice of cartridges for different users
The cartridge is available in two ink capacities, a 19 ml (c6578de) cartridge for low volume or less frequent
users, and a higher capacity (38 ml) cartridge (c6578ae) for high volume print users. The light user version
produces an average of 450 pages at 15% density, while the standard cartridge will produce approximately
970 pages at 15% density. Both cartridges have the same external dimensions to fit the same printers, with
a drop-in/snap-out design for quick, clean and easy replacement.
